Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
The renter or authorized driver is responsible for any damage to or loss of the rental vehicle up to the fair market value of the vehicle, regardless of who is at fault. In addition, unless prohibited or limited by law, the renter or authorized driver (s) is responsible for loss of use, administrative fees and diminishment of value.
If Renter purchases CDW, Alamo agrees, subject to the Terms and Conditions of the rental agreement, to eliminate all or part of the renter's responsibility for damage to or loss of the rental vehicle. CDW is NOT insurance. Alamo offers two levels of CDW to meet the needs of its customers.
Maxi Waiver Saver - Alamo waives the renter's and authorized driver(s) responsibility for loss or damage to the rental vehicle up to the fair market value of the vehicle including loss of use, administrative fee and diminishment of value.
Waiver Saver 3000 - (unless prohibited by state law) Alamo waives up to the first $3,000 of loss or damage to the rental vehicle, the renter or authorized driver(s) pays for any loss or damage in excess of $3,000 up to the fair market value of the vehicle.
