    Standaard Re: Must seen dingen in florida

    @Corrus:
    Dat kan toch een keuze zijn?
    Wij blijven maar twee weken, starten in St. augustine, rijden dan door Ocala Forest naar Crystal River, zakken af langs de kust naar Everglades en de Keys om daarna te eindigen in Miami.
    wij hebben ervoor gekozen om Florida in vogelvlucht te zien. Om Florida echt te leren kennen is, zoals je zelf al schrijft, 33 X nog te weinig.
    We hebben gewoon moeten schiften: wat lijkt mooi, wat lijkt mooier en wat lijkt ons het mooiste wat ook nog haalbaar is mbt. de route en tijd.
    Misschien dat we nog een keer terug gaan en misschien doen we het dan helemaal anders, misschien ook niet...

    @DJesse: wij vliegen met dezelfde maatschappij als jullie.

    Standaard Re: Tip voor een trip - deel 3

    Eric weet de mooie plekjes in Florida wel te vinden, daarom hebben we in de loop der jaren een aantal van zijn tips met veel plezier opgevolgd.

    Voor wat betreft de tips over routes met onverharde wegen wil ik toch nog eens de kanttekening maken dat het rijden van deze routes, hoe mooi en woest aantrekkelijk ook, sterk ontraden moet worden. De verhuurder verbiedt het nu eenmaal en alle voorzieningen op het gebied van schade vervallen op het moment dat je je met de auto op onverharde wegen begeeft. Als bij een politiecontrole wordt vastgesteld dat je onverzekerd rijdt, ben je de sigaar.

    Laat een ieder vooral doen waar hij/zij zin in heeft . Het is per slot van rekening vakantie. Maar bedenk wel dat bij constatering van deze overtreding je rijbewijs direct in beslag genomen zal worden. En zie dat pasje maar eens terug te krijgen, zeker wanneer je ook nog eens met een akkefietje met schade te maken krijgt. Dit zegt een gespecialiseerd advocaten kantoor er over:
    The consequences for failing to be insured

    Driving without insurance in Florida, a no-fault insurance state, can have a significant financial impact on you if you are involved in an accident. Having the mandatory insurance in place can protect you from having to face a lawsuit. Without insurance, you could be vulnerable to a lawsuit for negligence or recklessness. Should you or any of your passengers suffer injuries, you may not be able to cover the medical costs.
    There are also administrative consequences. If you are uninsured, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will suspend your license and registration, and will only reinstate it after you have paid a fee of $150. You must also provide proof that you have taken out a more comprehensive form of insurance for two years, and you may have to pay a fine of up to $500 for a non-moving traffic infraction.

    Nobody plans to have an auto accident, but accidents happen too often for you to take the chance by not having proper coverage. Make sure you protect yourself and your family with car insurance coverage, and get in touch with a dedicated Sarasota auto accident attorney if anything unplanned happens.
