Parkeren in WDW

In het verleden deden wij ook vaker reizen met bussen enzo, om parkeerkosten te besparen, maar je bent wel beduidend langer onderweg.
Aangezien we nu een Premium Annual Pass met Diamond Parking hebben, doen we dit niet meer.

Ja, het kost je heel veel tijd om zo te reizen. Ik heb het vaker gedaan maar niet om geld te besparen. Ik verblijf vaak in een wdw resort zonder auto en bezoek dan wel eens andere resorts vanwege bv restaurants of excursies. Alle tijden die in het artikel staan houden geen rekening met wachttijden op de bus of ander vervoer middel. Er is ook geen tijdschema dus je weet nooit of de vorige bus net is geweest en je dus 20 min (of meer) kan gaan staan wachten op de volgende bus. Het reizen van de parken naar je verblijf resort en vv is prima maar als je routes gaat cobineren kan je daar soms 1,5 uur reistijd voor rekenen. En je moet niet alleen rekening houden met de ligging van het resort maar ook hoeveel resorts een bus aan doet. Over het algemeen geldt dat hoe goedkoper het hotel hoe meer bussen en minder haltes. De dure hotels worden vaker gecombineerd en als je dan bij het laatste resort moet zijn kan je zo 45 min onderweg zijn. Het is zeker niet altijd stressvrij reizen!

Ja je kan te voet naar saragota springs en ook met de boot . Kan je zo geen anwb parkingpas kopen voor 14 dagen ?

Je kunt vanaf Downtown Disney volgens mij naar ieder resort, vandaar kan je de bus pakken die naar een park gaat.

Je kan op die site invullen van waar in wdw naar waar je wilt gaan. Ze geven dan alle opties en tijd die het kost er bij. Als je dat allemaal al weet heb je idd niets ad site maar voor andere misschien wel handig.

Maar je moet wel in wdw starten....

Als er een mogelijkheid is om iets lopend te doen, staat dat er bij. Maar er zijn weinig loop-mogelijkheden in WDW buiten de parken om. Er zijn vaak niet eens wandelpaden vanaf bepaalde resorts! En volgens mij gaan ze ook niet verder dan WDW zelf, dus daar starten en daar blijven!

Je moet dan wel betalen voor parkeren, maar kunt als ik het goed begrijp helemaal vooraan parkeren?

D'r staan een paar lettertjes op de Diamond Parking Permit: Void if sold. Non Transferable. Illegaal dus en dat willen we niet op dit forum. Ennne...dat vooraan parkeren is ook maar relatief hoor.

Oke hier volgt een hele lap engelse tekst.
Het kost meer tijd maar in deze tekst wordt geweldig uitgelegd hoe je goed en dus zonder parkeerkosten naar de parken kunt. Het komt er globaal op neer dat je vanuit Pleasure Island of Downtown Disney (of Blizzard beach waterpark) vertrekt. Daar parkeer je nl. gratis en vanuit daar gaan er bussen naar diverse hotels. Overstappen of in sommige gevallen lopen en je bent op je bestemming.

Read carefully and you won't have to pay that parking fee, regardless. Parking at Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island is always free, as is parking at the water parks. If you're willing to sacrifice a mere 20-30 minutes in bus transfers, you'll be just fine and dandy and free of that $14 fee. Since Downtown Disney does not offer bus service to the actual theme parks anymore, what you'll need to do is catch a bus from Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island to a resort and from there transfer to a theme park bus, monorail, or water taxi. The trick to this is knowing the layout of the WDW property. You want to know the quickest way to get where you're going. For instance, I recommend parking at Pleasure Island above the other locations because 1) you can literally walk five feet from where you park to a bus and 2) it is from this stop that you will go directly to a resort. At this point, let's discuss specifics, and I'll provide you with the quickest route to get you to your destination:
Saratoga Springs: always a good option!
Whether you're waiting at the bus queue at PI or at a theme park, a Saratoga Springs resort bus is always a good one to catch whether you're trying to go the park or get back to your car. Saratoga Springs is the closest resort to the Downtown Disney area--it only takes five minutes to get there, at which point you can transfer to another bus with ease.
Water Taxi to the Riverside Resorts: a scenic second option!
If you don't mind a little bit more wait time and would prefer a calm, quiet, boat ride to your next destination spot, do park at Downtown Disney (not PI), spot the Rainforest Café volcano, and just to your left and down the stairs you'll see the water-taxi dock. These lovely little boats will transport you to the French Quarter resort first and the Riverside resort second. The boat ride is generally 15 minutes either way but well worth-it for the serene views. At either resort, you can debark and catch a bus from their main terminal at the front of the resort to any theme park location you should wish to visit.
Destination Epcot or Hollywood Studios? Try this!
If you're traveling to Epcot or Hollywood Studios, board either a Swan and Dolphin bus or the Boardwalk/Yacht & Beach Club bus. Both these buses will place you in a 4-resort area lagoon which is exactly halfway between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. At any of these resorts, you can walk to Epcot within 5-10 minutes (for this, the Boardwalk and the Beach Club are the closest) or you can take a water taxi to Hollywood Studios (though the Swan and Dolphin is closest in this case). You can also take a water taxi to Epcot from any of these hotels if you so desire and you technically can walk to Hollywood Studios but it's a 30 minute walk, so I would only recommend it to the brave. Of course, you can also take buses to the theme parks; however, be advised that it's a pretty long walk from the Epcot bus terminals to the park entrance (not so for Hollywood studios). Also note that there is a direct bus between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, should you wish to transfer.
Destination Animal Kingdom? Try this!
If you'd like to go to Animal Kingdom, the quickest way is to take a bus to the Animal Kingdom Resort from Pleasure Island. Though you cannot walk between the two, the bus ride from the resort to the theme park takes less than 10 minutes. In this case, you can also park at Blizzard Beach (which is free) and catch the Animal Kingdom Resort Bus which is en route at that point of pickup.
Destination Magic Kingdom? Try this!
As I alluded to earlier, if you'd like the most direct way to Magic Kingdom, take a bus to the Magic Kingdom resort hotels--the Polynesian, the Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary. While you can transfer to a bus that will take you to Magic Kingdom from these locations, try a monorail or footpath instead--it's much more fun! If you debark your bus at the Contemporary, it's a 6-minute walk to the Kingdom. If you debark at the Grand Floridian, you'll be the last stop on the monorail before you go to Magic Kingdom, and you'll get there in 3-5 minutes. (So you know, the monorail goes in a clockwise direction). Should you debark your bus at the Polynesian, you can access the Transportation and Ticket Authority (TTA) Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom with no stops on the way (5 minute trip). From the TTA you can also take a ferry boat to Magic Kingdom (15 minutes) or catch a transfer monorail to Epcot if you decide to visit there after your Kingdom visit (15 minutes). For scenic seekers, the Polynesian and Grand Floridian also offer boats to Magic Kingdom which you can pick up near their beaches. This option can often be a great help when the lines for the monorails are half a quarter of a mile long. There's plenty of ways to get to Magic Kingdom...pick one first and try them all later! Plenty of fun and numerous ways to avoid traffic jams during busy park hours...closing time in particular!
In short, hopefully now you can navigate Disney without a car and you can avoid those nasty-ever-rising parking fees! Plan ahead, save stress and money, and stretch your Disney days for all they're worth!

20-30 minuten, ja als je geluk hebt. Vaak sta je in de ochtend al 20 min op een bus te wachten van of naar Downtown (in de avond rijden ze regelmatiger). Al eerder gezegd, het is te doen maar het kost veel tijd en naar mijn ervaring meer dan 20-30 minuten. En ik spreek uit ervaring want ik ben zeer regelmatig langere tijd in WDW geweest zonder auto. Maar als je geluk hebt en de bus net aan komt rijden en de volgende bus/boot/monorail ook dan haal je die 30 minuten wel. (en niet de pech hebben om in een bus te zitten die nog 4 andere resorts aandoet want dat is nog al eens het geval bij de duurdere resorts. Zo zaten wij bijna een uur in een bus!)

Nog even een tip. Als je gratis wil parkeren bij Down Town ben je pas tegen de middag in het park van je keuze. Disney wil dit gebruik zoveel mogelijk tegen gaan.
Iedereen moet naar zijn eigen portemonnee kijken maar als 12 Dollar per dag een probleem is dan zouden wij thuis blijven en naar de Efteling gaan.
