Een luchtfoto laat mooi zien wat er nu al is.

In the foreground - the white lattice work shows the rapid rise of the park's new wooden/steel hybrid roller coaster - White lightning. Behind it -- you can see the blue and yellow steel roller coaster - a suspended family coaster. And in the middle of the photo -- the world's 2nd-largest SkyCoaster is almost ready to drop guests from 250 feet in the air. Let's flip our point of view.

This second shot shows another part of the expansion. Look in the middle of the image above and you can see the new Green Commander go-kart track is going up.
FunSpot promises the first phase of the expansion (which is more than doubling the park's size) will be ready by its 15th Birthday, on June 8th. Most of the rides will be up and running sooner.

Ik ga ze deze zomer zeker een bezoekje brengen!

Twin Peaks restaurant to bring “scenic views” to International Drive in May, with girls and grub aplenty

A new restaurant called Twin Peaks is moving in to International Drive bringing “scenic views” to Orlando. The restaurant will be opening in May in the former location of Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, which relocated up the road.

They have released a rendering of the spot’s rustic new look.

Twin Peaks is owned by former Hooters executives, naturally, who branched off to launch their own chain. More than 30 locations are currently open around the United States, with another 11 announced, including this first Florida one. And with a menu featuring items like the “Mile High Club,” it’s clear this restaurant is aimed at adults, though children are welcome inside. But it’s a far stretch from the usual family audience most Orlando establishments aim for.
