Toevallig zie ik onderstaande op de drive-usa.de website over Alamo:

Alamo-Satisfaction-Guarantee At the pickup counter, you will be offered several "extras" for a certain surcharge like extra insurances or upgrades. If you chose one of these options but no longer wish to have this on the next day, you can return to the nearest Alamo location within 24 hours and cancel the feature you added on. The surcharge for this extra option will be reimbursed in full. For the 24 hour time period, the time of pick up will determine the start of the 24 hour period. After the 24 hour period, the additional charges for added extras cannot be reimbursed.

Handig als je toch ergens in bent getuind na een vermoeiende vlucht, maar er toch vanaf wil als je wakker bent.

Ik wist van het bestaan en heb kortelings nog naar een bevestiging gezocht op diverse Alamo sites maar niets gevonden.
Mogelijk is deze service dus alweer afgeschaft.

Hallo,

Ik heb hier al een paar keer gelezen dat het soms goedkoper is om via de britse alamo website te boeken.

De prijzen zijn daar inderdaad een stuk goedkoper dan via de Nederlandse site en ook goedkoper dat USAreisen.

Nu is mijn vraag of er iemand weet of die prijzen via de Britse site ook full inclusive is ivm de verzekeringen.
Want ik kan daar nergens iets extra's kiezen voor Gold of andere dingen...

Als je alle gegevens hebt ingevoerd en daarna de auto van je keuze hebt aangeklikt kom je op de pagina met de prijzen. Daar heb je nog de mogelijkheid om een "upgrade" te nemen (o.a tank benzine en extra bestuurders). M.i. is dit de Gold optie.
CDW en aansprakelijkheid was al inbegrepen voor je kiest voor de upgrade.

Ja hoor, je kunt daar ook gewoon voor Gold kiezen. Staan ook duidelijke icoontjes bij toch? Standaard is Full Inclusive, optioneel is Gold (tank benzine en extra bestuurders). Je ziet die optie overigens pas nadat je de auto hebt geselecteerd.

CDW – Collision Damage Waiver
All inclusive rates include CDW, which contractually waives or limits the renter’s liability for damage to or loss of the vehicle

Liability Cover
All inclusive rates provide the renter and authorized drivers up to an aggregate, single limit of $1,000,000 for claims that may by made by others against the renter and authorized drivers for bodily injury, death and/or property damage arising out of the use or operation of our rental vehicle.

Also included is an Uninsured Motorist (UM) benefit up to an aggregate, single limit of $100,000. UM provides benefits to the renter and any family member related by blood, marriage, or adoption, who, while physically occupying Alamo’s rental vehicle when it is being driven by the renter or an authorized driver, suffers bodily injury or death caused by negligent uninsured motorist, negligent underinsured motorists, or a negligent hit-and-run driver.

Additional Driver
An additional fee of up to $9.99 per day, variable by location, per additional driver will be charged, except where already included in the rate or the state law provides otherwise. Additional drivers may be required to present a valid license and credit card in their name at the time of rental, (In Manhattan locations, additional driver must present a valid credit card and valid license in their name).

Age requirements
In the State of New York the minimum age is eighteen (18) years and for renters and authorised drivers aged between eighteen and twenty-four (18-24), inclusive, a recovery fee of $49.37 per day applies in lieu of an Underage Driver Fee.

Underage fee
In all states an underage fee of $25 USD per day plus tax per driver will apply for renters and additional drivers aged between 21-24, unless otherwise stated.


Fuel Policy
Unless included in the product, a full tank of gas will be purchased at the time of rental. The service is convenient because the renter does not have to worry about taking time to stop and refuel before returning.

Driving Areas
Vehicles can be driven in any state in the United States, but must be returned to the location from which they were rented or drop-off charges may apply. Vehicles may not be driven into Mexico. Vehicles rented in Alaska must be returned to Alaska. Vehicles can be driven into Canada but must be returned to the United States. Canadian residents renting vehicles in the United States may not drive vehicles into Canada. Driving on unpaved roads voids Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) coverage.

Driving License requirement
Full and Valid Driver’s Licence from country of origin, Passport and credit card in renters name.

Identification required for rental
Full and valid Driver’s License from country of origin, Passport and credit card in renters name.

Overstay Fee
If a customer extends the rental any time after the vehicle has been picked up at the rental location, regardless if an additional voucher is presented, a fee of $10.99 per day will be payable locally in addition to the applicable rates. These fees will be payable by the customer.

One Way rentals
All one way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Drop-off charges may apply, payable at time of rental.

Payment Policy
Credit Cards – Alamo accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover credit cards.

Cash Rentals – All cash rentals must meet Alamo’s current standard cash qualification requirements.When making a reservation for a cash rental, Client should contact Alamo for information on Alamo’s current cash qualification requirements, which does include presenting a valid passport and roundtrip airline ticket at time of rental. Cash Qualifications may vary by location and are subject to change. Some locations may require a credit card at the beginning of the rental and the customer can pay cash upon return.

Cash customers are required to leave a deposit as follows:
• If vouchered: $25/daily and $100/weeky in addition to any charges not covered by the voucher.
• If not vouchered: $50/daily and $200/weekly in addition to any charges not covered by the voucher.

Please note that any unused rental days on prepaid reservations are non-refundable.

Vouchers
If a prepaid customer returns a vehicle prior to the end of the reserved period, no credit will be given for the unused portion of the vouchered rental period.

Additional Equipment

Child seats
A fee of $9.99 per day, per infant seat will be charged. Infant seats should be requested at time of reservation. In the event the infant seat is not returned at the end of the rental, a fee will be assessed to the renter.


SEATBELTS and CHILD RESTRAINT SEATS
State laws may require the use of seatbelts and child restraint seats. Seatbelts and child restraint seats can save lives. We urge you to use them. To avoid serious injury or even death, use child restraint seats only in the back seat of the vehicle. Older children who do not use child restraint seats should ride properly buckled-up in the back seat. Infant seats should be requested at time of reservation.

Ski Racks
Ski Racks, if required, must be requested at time of reservation and cost $7.50 per day.

Pay Locally Surcharges and Fees

Taxes
Unless otherwise stated, taxes, including VLF taxes in California, other governmentally authorised or imposed surcharges, concession recoupment fees, airport & facility fees and optional items (such as CDW Waiver Savers, fuel, additional driver fee and drop charges) are extra. Concession recoupment fees may add up to 16% to the rental rate at some on-airport locations. Airport fees may add up to 10% to the rental rate at some off airport locations. Payment for all of these additional items is the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise specified on the rate sheets.

Rates may not include a Customer Facility Charge (CFC) and / or Homeland Security Fee (HSF) which is payable, where applicable, by customer at time of rental.

Legislation or regulations or the cost of fuel may affect Alamo’s pricing or procedures. On all inclusive products, Alamo reserves the right, without notice, to (i) charge customers, at the time of rental or thereafter, for the amount of any additional or increased surcharges, fees, taxes or increased fuel costs incurred subsequent to entering into this Agreement, or (ii) increase Client’s tax, surcharge or fuel inclusive rates by an amount equivalent to the additional or increased tax, surcharge, or fuel cost subsequent to entering into this Agreement.

Rental terms, conditions and prices are subject to change without notice and may vary by location.


Cancellation Charges
We will not charge for reservations cancelled 7 days or more before your pick up time. If you cancel your booking after this time, the following charges apply:

• If you cancel your booking less than 7 days before pick up time, you will be charged either the full cost of your booking or up to a maximum of £20 whichever is the lesser.

• If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before your pick up time, you will be charged either the full cost of your booking or up to a maximum of £50, whichever is the lesser.

In the event of a cancellation, your credit card will be refunded, less the above charge.

No show
If you fail to collect your car on the specified pick up date, we reserves the right to charge a no show fee of either the cost of the booking or up to a maximum of £50, whichever is the lesser. In the event of a no show, your credit card will be refunded, less the no show charge.

Unused Rental Days
Please note that any unused rental days on prepaid reservations are non-refundable.

Alamo Gold includes the following in one easy rate:

• Unlimited mileage
• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
• Liability Protection (LP) ($1 million liability coverage)
• Airport fees
• State/local taxes and surcharges
• One tank of fuel
• Additional Drivers

Ik vind het wel raar... Ik probeer te kijken voor prijzen voor onze data, maar ik krijg heel de tijd een foutmelding dat mijn pickup station gesloten is op dat uur.

Wij vliegen op Tampa. Eender welk uur ik kies, ik krijg steeds een foutmelding...

Als je op de Alamo.co.uk site kijkt bij Locations en dan zoekt op Tampa dan vind hij daar ook geen openingstijden. De Alamo.nl site heeft wel Tampa Airport staan @ https://www.alamo.nl/autohuur/usa/tampa-airport/

En die is gewoon 24 uur per dag open..

Ik zou even mailen met Alamo.co.uk. Of gewoon boeken via USAReisen.de/Drive-USA.eu of Alamo.nl

Gisteren geboekt bij www.Drive-USA.de een midsize SUV (Ford Escape
or similar) van 28-04-2012 tot 12-05-2012 (14 dagen). 410 euro. Super inclusive plus.

Daarna via Alamo SaveTime gegevens ingevoerd, extra driver toegevoegd en reservering geprint kan direct naar een kiosk lopen en rijden maar.

Gemak dient de mens ;-)
