Vliegen met Air Canada

Heeft iemand wel eens met hen gevlogen? Zowel met de 767 als de 777 ben ik in geïnteresseerd.

Wat is het toch moeilijk om een "goede" vlucht te vinden :cry:

Hoi Renee,

Vrienden van ons hebben met hun gevlogen, en afgeraden! Weinig beenruimte en een slechte service! Dit is wat hun ervaring is met Air Canada, misschien hebben anderen weer juist goede ervaringen.

Niet echt een topper inderdaad. Service was niet super en geen tvtjes in stoel. Geen idee met welk vliegtuig ik vloog, maar het was van AMS->Calgary en Vancouver->AMS

Voor mij een nieuwe optie; verkrijgbaar voor het vroege voorjaar bij tix.nl. Voor 394 euro vlieg je heen met Air Canada (AC 833 en AC 1230) van Brussel via Montreal naar Orlando en terug met US Airways. (1590 en 750).

Heen ben je dik 16 uur onderweg, vanwege een overstap van bijna vijf uur. Aankomst MCO om 20:45. Ik heb gekkere deals gezien. Terug ben je na 11 uur thuis!

In Montreal ga je (net als in Dublin) al langs de us immigrations voor je op de vlucht naar Orlando stapt (preclearance). Je hoeft in Orlando dan alleen nog langs de douane, als ik het allemaal goed begrijp.

Deze constructie is voor mij nieuw maar misschien zijn er toch forummers die over dit traject, de maatschappij en/of het vliegveld en de preclearance iets te melden hebben?

Beiden zijn in het hoogseizoen "maar" 600-650 euro p/p kwijt. Gelijk een goeie mogelijkheid om Canada uit je landen lijstje te halen ;-)

U.S. pre-customs clearance
All passengers bound for the United States must go through U.S. Customs before boarding their flight. As a result, they will not have to submit to any other formalities when they arrive in the United States.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection requires that all travellers fill in and present Declaration Form 6059B or I-94. You must also have all required documentation with you. Note also that you cannot take certain products, such as fruit from other countries, into the United States.

If your flight originated outside Canada or the United States and you need to take a connecting flight to a U.S. destination, there are two possible options:

You will, however, have to go through U.S. Customs. Your checked luggage will be transferred automatically by the baggage handling system. Note, however, that U.S. Customs officers are authorized to recall your luggage, if necessary, for manual inspection. If the Customs officers do not yet have the information on your luggage at hand, you will be asked to proceed to the waiting area.
If your airline does not offer the option of automatically transferring your luggage, you must pick it up yourself from the carrousel, then follow the normal procedures for international arrivals, then for U.S. departures.

Ditzelfde geldt trouwens ook voor vliegen via Toronto:

For the majority of US flights, guests leaving Toronto will go through US Customs in Toronto, which allows you to arrive in the US as a domestic passenger.

In Terminal 3, the US Customs process is busy, but working effectively.
In Terminal 1, the US Customs process is busier than ever and is resulting in some line ups that are longer than normal.
To help avoid congestion in the US Customs hall in Terminal 1, while you are required to check-in a minimum of 2 hours before your flight, at certain times of day US-bound guests will only be allowed into the Customs hall based on their scheduled flight time. Once you have checked in, you will be directed to a waiting area where you will be called in to the US Customs hall according to the time of your flight. This process is designed to move you through the customs process as quickly as possible and avoid flight delays.

Biedt toch weer wat perspectieven...

Altijd goed kijken bij dit soort constructies....;-) Jij verwijst naar de vlucht die via Toronto vliegt en die kost 397 euro.

Ik bedoel de vlucht met een stop in Montreal en dan direct door naar Orlando!

Heerlijk, die directe/doorlopende vluchtnummers met tussenlandingen!!

Er wordt op dit moment enorm gestund met tickets.
wij hebben voor 993 euro bij BA een retour tampa te pakken.
Hele gunstige tijden en mooie planes. 777 (28-4 <---> 12/5) overstap LGW

KLM/AF zijn ook al aan het afprijzen. (777 747 330)

In mrt/april ook voor ca 500 pp naar bijv Orlando (niet meer rechtstreeks dat is wel jammer, maar toch gunstige tijden)

United en Lufthansa idem maar dan heb je weer een 757

Maar ... Air canada is wel heel goedkoop!! wat voor vliegtuig heb je dan ? een 767?
