wij zijn afgelopen zaterdag aangekomen en ik had slechts keus uit 2 auto's. we zijn weggereden met een chevy captiva. Dit is zoals we hadden geboekt een midsize SUV. 2 dagen later heb ik een autowissel gedaan omdat vrienden met een Nissan Pathfinder wegreden die zij zelf nogal erg groot vonden. We zijn naar het vliegveld gereden en hebben de auto's om laten boeken. Ik heb nu de Nissan en hij is met een nieuwe Chevy Captiva naar buiten gereden zonder bijbetalen of problemen. Mooie deal toch?
We plannen nog eens naar Florida te gaan en bij Alamo te huren, maar dan zonder "gold packet".
Kan iemand mij uitleggen wat de "fuel policy" is bij Alamo als je geen gold packet neemt.
Ik lees over voorafbetaling en over prijzen die ze vragen als je de auto inlevert. Wat zijn de verschillen?
Is het best om dan zo leeg mogelijk terug in te leveren, of heb je voordeel om toch te tanken?

Wat is de reden om geen gold te nemen? Al de verzekeringen zitten er bij en je kan hem leeg afgeven. Best handig.
De belangrijkste reden voor mij is omdat er bij de alamo.co.uk/brits aanbieding geen tank benzine bij zit. Dat is zeg maar een soort Gold Lite.
Wij zijn deze keer (zelfs 2 x) ook overstag gegaan naar Alamo.co.uk/brits na jarenlang bij onze Duitse vrienden gehuurd te hebben. Het verschil in prijs was beduidend meer dan aan tank benzine, zelfs als je het Alamo tarief zou moeten betalen. Moet nog wel even uitzoeken wat de policy is, dus ik hoop dat satpet hier nog een antwoord op krijgt.

Dus als ik het goed begrijp,als je uit Europa komt moet je bij afhalen van de auto een volle tank betalen.
Onze boeking is ook via Alamo.UK gegaan. Hierbij zit echter wel een volle tank.
