The change is coming to SeaWorld parks across the United States as they debut the all-new killer whale show this spring and summer.
The Orlando Sentinel reported that the show has been designed for trainers to work only from the stage, instead of in the water with the killer whales. That's the result of the death of trainer Dawn Brancheau in February 2010. She was pummeled and drowned by a killer whale known as Tilikum. After her death, no trainers have returned to the water to interact with the whales, and safety reviews are still ongoing.
The Sentinel reported that instead of "rocket hops" — the maneuver in which a whale propels a trainer out of the water — One Ocean will feature highlights such as multiple orcas performing in unison and maneuvering amid giant fountains.
One Ocean is scheduled to premiere at SeaWorld Orlando at the end of April, SeaWorld San Diego on Memorial Day weekend and SeaWorld San Antonio in June. It will replace the popular Believe, a show that enjoyed a five-year run in all three SeaWorld parks.
Shamu Stadium is actually a three-story set, with panoramic LED screens and hundreds of surround-sound speakers. The show will feature special effects that include brilliantly colored lights; soaring fountains; underwater imagery; and an original, contemporary musical score with global rhythms, the press release said.
The Sentinel reported that the stadium will undergo extensive renovations to build the new set for the show.

Gelukkig hebben ze de dader, anders zouden ze deze narigheid misschien ook weer bij Tillikum in de maag splitsen. Die krijgt al snel de schuld als er iets misgaat...........:sad:.

Sorry deze vraag is misschien al gesteld in het verleden.
We willen heel graag naar Seaworld en Aquatica gaan maar waar doen we nu slim aan om de kaartjes op het internet te kopen en waar kan dat het beste? of ze gewoon bij seaworld als we daar zijn te kopen?
