Op de lange vlucht serveren ze inderdaad 2x een "maaltijd". Op de kortere vlucht niet altijd. Dat zie je ook in het schema van Continental, de ene vlucht heeft als meal "none" en een vlucht later bijvoorbeeld als meal "snack" (meestal een broodje, chocolade en chips).
Daarom zei ik ook dat je niet Continental VLIEGT, maar Lufthansa dus. Op hun site kun je misschien zien of en wat ze serveren.

Continental Airlines gaat in navolging van andere luchtvaartmaatschappijen een toeslag in rekening brengen voor reizigers die in economy class een stoel met extra beenruimte wensen. This announcement does not affect any travel today or in the near future that you may be planning on United or Continental. You can continue to make reservations for your travel and redeem miles with your airline of choice, as well as continue to earn miles with your Mileage Plus credit card. You will not have to redeem your miles before the merger is closed.

Wij vliegen morgen met Continental naar Newark en daarna wederom met continental naar Miami. Weet soms iemand of de koffers dat automatisch gaan bij de overstap of dat je die zelf moet gaan halen en weer droppen?
Die gaan, net als bij alle overstapvluchten in de US, niet automatisch door.
Van de band halen, door de douane, en dan weer droppen. As usual :-)
Wij zijn met Continental naar Orlando gevlogen, vorige week, via Houston. T gaat zoals TA 2 Gerrit omschrijft en t wijst zich v zelf. Er staan ook overal medewerkers op t vliegveld dus als iets niet duidelijk is gewoon ff vragen.

Amerika werkt iets anders dan menig ander land. Je moet in de US op het zogenaamde 'point of entry' met bagage en al door de immigratie en douane. 'Point of entry' is de lokatie waar je voor het eerst voet op Amerikaanse bodem zet. Bij een overstap in de US zul je dus met koffers door de checks moeten. Is overigens erg simpel. Je pikt de koffers op, gaat in de rij staan, gaat door de controle en vlak na de controlepunten zijn bagagebanden waarop je de koffers alweer kunt droppen. De koffers worden op AMS al wel doorgelabeld voor de eindbestemming, je hoeft de koffers dus niet opnieuw in te checken tijdens de overstap.Citaat:

Ik heb gezocht op www.seatguru.com en zag wel wat informatie erover, maar was niet zeker. Misschien hebben jullie ervaringen ermee?
