TNA Wrestling returns to Universal Orlando on March 13

Good news for fans of the “squared circle”: TNA Wrestling returns to Universal Studios Florida beginning March 13, 2014. The league recently updated their website with a schedule of 13 events at Universal Orlando between March 32 and May 9. Most will be tapings or live broadcasts of IMPACT (TNA’s weekly Spike TV series), but April 27 will be a Pay Per View event.

TNA taped bouts in the “Impact Zone” (a.k.a. Universal’s Soundstage 21) from 2004 to 2013, and returned briefly at the end of last year after taking their operation on a nationwide tour. Interestingly, the New York Post recently reported that NBCUniversal was offering rival wresting federation WWE a Hall of Fame at Universal Orlando in order to secure renewed broadcast rights. If that happened, it would presumably preempt TNA’s presence on the property.
