Wij verblijven op dit moment in Florida en hebben op de t.v. een mededeling gelezen over problemen met pindakaas en producten waar pindakaas in verwerkt is, met name voor de gezondheid, is dit een onderwerp dat van belang kan zijn voor Florida bezoekers?

Het enige wat ik heb kunnen vinden is dat een Peanut Plant een probleem heeft met salmonella en dat hun producten verwerkt werden in pindakaas, maar er staat niet bij in welke.

Peanut butter is safe to eat. The problem is with contamination of peanut butter and peanut paste produced at the Blakely, Ga., processing plant of Peanut Corporation of America. Numerous other brands of peanut butter are manufactured around the United States by companies who process their own peanuts or who buy them from reliable, conscientious sources. The American Peanut Council (http://www.peanutsusa.com/USA/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.page&pid=262#Brands_NOT_Affected_by_FDA_Recall) has produced a list of all the retail brands of peanut butter that are safe to eat, and it's a very long list. Gaat dus niet enkel om pindakaas maar ook producten waar pindakaas in verwerkt is.
